Use each character's unique abilities to follow the Path of Destiny - or change it entirely. Every player's decisions shape the outcome of the story, but only one hero will be remembered as its true protagonist.
The Witcher: Path of Destiny is a competitive card game for 1-5 players in which you take on the role of one of the legendary characters from The Witcher universe and experience its most memorable tales from a new perspective.
Throughout the game, players immerse themselves in a variety of narrative scenarios, each introducing unique challenges, strategic choices, special rules, and components that alter the gameplay experience. Despite these differences, every scenario follows the same three core phases:Card Drafting - Players strategically select sets of cards from the shared display. Every choice matters, requiring careful tactical planning. Card colors, symbols, special bonuses, and even the initiative order for the next round all influence the best decision.
Hand Management - All players simultaneously play two cards from their hands, building a unique tableau that represents the actions they have chosen to take during the story.
Branching Storyline - After resolving the played cards and counting their symbols, a Destiny token is placed next to the symbol that received the greatest influence from the players. At the end of each round, players earn Victory Points and Experience. When the third Destiny token is placed, the current chapter ends and the story evolves according to the players' collective choices.
After three chapters, the game reaches one of several possible epilogues. Only then is it revealed who became the true hero of the story - and the ultimate winner of the game.
